Insurance Criteria
For cars
You must:
- hold a current, valid, full UK or EU/EAA driving licence, and have done so for at least 12 months
- be aged 21 years or over (note: minimum age may vary depending on vehicle)
- have had no motoring offence involving alcohol or drugs, careless, dangerous or reckless driving or taking a vehicle without consent in the last 3 years. This includes all convictions with the Conviction Offence Code prefixes DR, CD, DD or UT
- have had no disqualifications in the last 3 years
- have had no more than 2 fault claims in any 3 year period
- have no more than 8 penalty points
- have not been convicted within the last 5 years of any offence relating to fraud, robbery, theft or handling stolen goods including any pending prosecution or police enquiry
- only use the car for social, domestic and pleasure purposes or business use by the policyholder excluding the carriage of passengers or goods for hire or reward
- not be using this insurance for the purpose of removing an impounded vehicle from a compound
The vehicle must:
- Be registered in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man
- Have a current market value of less than £75,000
- Have no more than 8 seats (including the driver's seat)
- Not have been imported (ie. It must not be a "grey" import, such as a Mazda Xedos, nor must it have been "personally" imported
- Not be used to carry hazardous goods
- Not be used or driven at any hazardous location
- Not be owned by, and/or hired out by, any Vehicle Rental or Hire company
- Not be modified (please note manufacturer specified optional extras fitted at the time of manufacture ARE acceptable)

- have had no more than 2 fault claims in any 3 year period
- have no more than 6 penalty points
- have not been convicted within the last 5 years of any offence relating to fraud, robbery, theft or handling stolen goods including any pending prosecution or police enquiry
- only use the motorcycle for social, domestic and pleasure purposes or business use by the policyholder excluding the carriage of passengers or goods for hire or reward
- have been resident in the UK for at least 12 months
- NOT carry pillion passengers during the period of insurance
- have insurance approved security measures fitted when left unattended "secondary security device in addition to security lock"
The vehicle must:
- Be registered in Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man
- Have a current market value of less than £20,000
- Not have been imported
- Not be used for the carriage of goods or passengers for hire or reward (including Taxicabs, Private Hire and Public Hire)
- Not be owned by, and/or hired out by, any Vehicle Rental or Hire company
- Not have any sidecar attached
- Not be used in connection with any courier business
- Not be used to carry hazardous goods
- Not be used or driven at any hazardous location

If your motorcycle is within insurance group 30-50 and is parked at or in the proximity of your private dwelling house, or any other address where your motorcycle is usually kept if an alternative address has been specifically agreed by us, cover for theft or attempted theft is restricted to loss or damage occuring while your motorcycle is in a locked private garage or outbuilding.

- be 3000cc or under
- not be over 3.5 Tonnes GVW
- not have been manufactured in the U.S.
- not be used for the carriage of goods or passengers for hire or reward (including Taxicabs, Private Hire and Public Hire)
- not be used to carry hazardous goods (standard gas container allowed for recreational use)
- not be main place of residence, but must have at least one bedd of 6 feet in length, there must be wardrobe cupboards
- fitted and seating for diners at a table
- not be used or driven at any hazardous location
Vehicles fitted with manufacturer specified optional extras, fitted at the time of manufacture, are acceptable.
Vehicles modified to cater for a disabled driver or passenger are acceptable
LPG conversions are acceptable
Motorhomes hired or rented are acceptable
